SUPPORT BARBADOS!  ROUND UP FOR A BETTER TOMORROW.

Every cent counts. Every project matters.

For over 37 years, the Tourism Development Corporation (TDC) has quietly but powerfully shaped the landscape, safety, culture, and global image of Barbados. As a private sector-funded nonprofit, our mission is simple yet ambitious: to make Barbados better, for those who live here, and those who choose to visit.

Now, through the “Make Change” Round-Up Initiative, people have the opportunity to be part of this movement. By simply rounding up your purchase, you’ll help fund national projects that enrich lives, preserve heritage, boost tourism, and build safer communities.

Here’s how your small change can support real change:

🌴 Beautifying Our Island

Those rows of swaying palm trees along the ABC, Mighty Grynner Highway, and Ronald map
Highway? That’s TDC at work—funded by members, creating beauty that welcomes every traveler and lifts local pride.

🚶‍♀️ Wellness & Nature

Barbados Trailways
We helped build the amenities, shade shelters, and parking that make this nature trail a haven for health, heritage, and recreation.

🔒 Community Safety

CCTV Surveillance Systems
With the BHTA and Police, we funded critical security camera installations in Oistins, St. Lawrence Gap, and the West Coast—keeping you and our visitors safe.

💡 A Brighter Bridgetown

Bridgetown Illuminated
When Broad Street went dark in 2020, we restored it, partnering with Caribbean LED Lighting to relight the heart of our capital.

📜 Preserving Our History

Slave/Ancestral Research Centre
We helped transform a building into a state-of-the-art research centre—helping Barbadians and visitors explore their genealogical roots.

Gun Hill Refurbishment & Highland Pottery Restoration
After Hurricane Elsa damaged the beloved Highland Pottery, we helped bring it back to life—just as we’ve done with Gun Hill and other heritage icons.

🎽 Fueling Sports Tourism

From Run Barbados to Barbados Surf Pro, the TDC has proudly supported dozens of world-class events that bring global attention—and tourists—to our shores. We’ve even helped build and outfit the Olympic-standard Hockey Pavilion, putting Barbados on the international sporting map.

Some events the TDC funded include:

  • Barbados Hockey Festival
  • Barbados Darts Festival

  • Barbados Open Water Swim

  • Barbados Surf Pro

  • Cricket & Football Tournaments
  • Run Barbados
  • Sol Rally Barbados

  • One Movement Invitational Skateboarding
  • Rugby World 7s
  • Triathlon
  • Barbados Ninja Throwdown

  • Golf Tournaments… and many more.
